Big things are happening this year for TechGuard Security! We officially turned 20 years old on February 22nd, 2020 and couldn’t be more excited to celebrate throughout the entire year – what an outstanding milestone! Two decades of providing world-class cybersecurity solutions to clients all over the world and it wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing founders, Suzanne Magee and Andrea Johnson.
It all began in early 2000 when Suzanne recognized the growing need for security and privacy of computer communications with the federal government going paperless and enterprises racing to have a presence on the Internet. And with the help of Andrea, a former computer engineer for the Boeing Company, they founded TechGuard in a small basement office in direct response to Presidential Directive 63 to secure the US Critical Infrastructure. Their mission was to create proactive countermeasures to malicious network attacks through the deployment of industry-leading services and provide cutting-edge research and development of proactive security technology products. That mission continues to be upheld to this day among our committed team.
From there, TechGuard has continued to grow and thrive with our investors, wonderful employees (in our St. Louis region and Baltimore region) and of course our President/CEO, Carla Stone. She has built upon decades of leadership and business acumen to receive numerous professional accolades within the Defense Industry leading to her current position at TechGuard Security. Her admirable leadership capabilities and hard-working demeanor have carried TechGuard through numerous achievements and successes since 2006 when she joined the woman-owned business enterprise. Carla continues to lead, manage and recognize what’s best for TechGuard, our employees, customers, and commercial and government partners.
TechGuard has been recognized for our thought leadership in Network Security, the excellence of our Mission-Focused TechGuardian team, who is a well-respected group of security and engineering professionals, our award-winning Cybersecurity Solutions through our innovative research and speedy development (from concept to delivery TechGuard’s position as a leader cyber-defense contractor), and our cybersecurity services and training for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the US Intelligence as well as corporate business of all sizes and industries. We’ve made many accomplishments in the last 20 years together as a team and we consistently strive for success while heading into the next 20 years and more.
We want to thank everyone who has been a part of TechGuard’s journey, and we plan to continue delivering cybersecurity solutions to our clients to keep them one step ahead of cybercriminals. We’ve been so proud to serve our clients for the last 20 years and look forward to being there for you in the future ahead. Be sure to look out for even more 20th anniversary announcements as we continue to celebrate throughout 2020. And don’t forget to check out our Facebook page for any TechGuard events and happenings – it’s going to be a fun-filled year!
